I was born into an artistic family, my Mum taught me all things art and craft, I knew how to use a sewing machine before I could ride my bike. My Grandfather Lance Solomon a renowned Australian artist taught me drawing and painting skills. I discovered Wire as an early adult and recognised it as a three dimensional line. I have been drawing in space with Wire since. I have won many awards and my sculptures are in private and corporate collections worldwide.

Russell Solomon is a wire sculptor living in south east Queensland. For our 2024 exhibition, Russell contributed the sculptures Bushfire, Powerful, Playful, and Soulful.
