I am a woman living with significant physical and mental health challenges, most of which were caused by chronic abuse and repeated trauma in my childhood and early adulthood. I use art to express my emotions, thoughts and imagination, as I find this markedly reduces relapses and flare ups. I often paint horses as I am in awe of their majestic strength and power, but also their sensitivity and emotional intelligence. I intend to continue exploring my own lived experience through painting, as well as textiles.
