I have always been captivated by horses. A horse obsessed child and teenager, who took every opportunity to ride, draw and model horses and ponies… I now find myself, many decades later, in the same happy place.
I recently retired, my family are happily doing their own thing and I now have time to spend on my own artistic dreams. I have a diploma in visual art (ISCD, Sydney 2005) and have exhibited and sold paintings. I now focus on ceramic sculpture and the endless wonder of glaze technique and surface design.
I feel I am at the beginning of a wonderful journey of artistic discovery… bringing together ceramic sculptural technique with the sensitivity, power and beauty of the horse.
Alison contributed three sculptures to our 2023 event: Sensing the Wind, Knowing Eyes, and Happier Together.
